Terms of Service
1. Who we are and what this covers
These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of PropPool ("PropPool," "we," "us"). They cover the PropPool website, app, and emails (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
2. Who can use PropPool
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must give accurate information when you sign up and keep your password private. You're responsible for activity on your account.
- One person per account. Don't create accounts for anyone else or use automation to create accounts or make picks.
3. PropPool is a free game, not gambling
- PropPool is a free-to-play prediction game for entertainment. It costs nothing to play.
- Points in PropPool are virtual. They have no cash value, can't be bought, sold, or transferred, and can't be exchanged for money, prizes, or anything of value.
- PropPool does not accept wagers, does not collect or hold entry fees, and does not award or pay out prizes.
- Odds and lines are shown for scoring purposes only. PropPool is not a sportsbook and doesn't link to or promote betting services.
4. Private arrangements between league members
A league's commissioner may write a "payouts" description (for example, a trophy or bragging rights). That text is the commissioner's own note to the league. Any agreement among league members, including any money, is made entirely outside PropPool and is solely between those members. PropPool is not a party to it, doesn't track or enforce it, and isn't responsible for it. You are responsible for following the laws that apply where you live.
5. Commissioners
- A commissioner sets league rules, invites members, can remove members, and settles each week.
- When you add someone's email to your invite list, you confirm you know that person and have a reason to believe they'd want the invite. PropPool uses that email only to send league invites. Don't add people who haven't asked to hear from you.
- Commissioners must apply league rules fairly and may not use the league to collect money through PropPool.
6. How you may use PropPool
Don't:
- break the law, or use PropPool to organize illegal gambling;
- harass, threaten, or impersonate anyone, or post hateful or sexual content in team names, photos, or announcements;
- try to get around pick locks, scoring, or security, or access other people's accounts or data;
- scrape, copy, resell, or redistribute odds, lines, statistics, or other data shown in PropPool;
- overload the Service or interfere with how it runs.
We may suspend or remove accounts, team names, photos, or leagues that break these rules.
7. Sports data
Schedules, player props, odds, injuries, and results come from third-party data providers. They can be late, wrong, or change after a game. We may correct results, void a prop, or adjust standings to fix errors. Scoring decisions recorded in PropPool are final for the game.
8. Your content
You keep ownership of what you add (team name, photo, announcements). You give us permission to store and show it to the people in your leagues so the Service works. You're responsible for having the right to post it.
9. Emails
We send account and league emails such as invites, welcome messages, pick reminders, and weekly results. You can turn off reminders and weekly results in your profile or with the unsubscribe link in those emails. Account and security emails (like password resets) can't be turned off while you have an account.
10. Paid features
PropPool is free today. If we add optional paid features (for example, ad-free play or extra commissioner tools), they'll be software features only, priced the same whether or not a league has any private arrangement, and never tied to winnings. We'll show prices and terms before you buy.
11. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from your profile. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms or put the Service or other players at risk.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of data, or uninterrupted access. We don't promise the Service will be error-free.
13. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, PropPool won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from private arrangements between league members. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to $50.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app or by email and ask you to accept the new version before you keep playing. The version and effective date are shown at the top.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Comal County, Texas, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
